Here we go. This is the list from last year with quantities, notes and volunteer revised.

Last year I bought 30  dozen cobs of corn!

Can we copy this list into each message as people volunteer to bring something or help? Write your name beside something but copy the whole list into your post. This will give the next person reading this an accurate list of what needs to be done.

We didn't approach the MacLeans. I felt if we do this on an ongoing basis we should get our own. They sell the flame thrower at TSC. I was going to buy one anyway. I believe Mark was going to look for something to use for a pot.

Yes This year i can sell the tickets but if you cant find anyone i Could wash the corn...

This is a bit on topic but off topic but For a while I have been thinking about for hillbilly night and that we bring out all of the hillbilly drivers and they park there cars the order they are in for the heat and then they all get out and they get out and sing "O'Canada" but before when doug goes down he could say what the hillbilly's do and how they support The bravehearts and then it migth get more people to buy the tickets!

Please write what you think about this idea

ok we will not get the drivers to sing then and instead we could get Doug to say when they come out to race he could say about it and all that and when Dusty And Tommy are out Doug Could Say That they help with it too and well he is saying about it he could say A big thank you to everyone who has suported in big ways or even in little ways

We should take a poll and have everyone vote on the hillbilly they think most fitting to sing 'O Canada' and whoever wins HAS to sing.

My vote goes to John "doesn't have a hillbilly name yet? wtf?" McDonnell.

I was given a very insulting Hillbilly name last year! Fortunately I have forgotten the name but not the pain!
If someone thinks they have time, they can come and pick up my pickup truck (on a trailer or with a dealer plate) this week. Take off the doors, cut off the roof, windsheild posts and back window, paint it flat black (tremclad and a brush will work) and it is a Hillbilly Truck. It doesn't sound like Billy Hill is interested in buying it so I could donate it as a pace truck.

Hey all you NEW hillbillies...just realized you might not have any idea what we are talking about. Last year, we hosted a corn roast in the pits after the races on hillbilly night (august 16th). We had a lot of drivers, fans etc. come and join us for some corn that we roasted in a bit pot. We also had a donation pot on the table for those who wanted to donate, all the money went to the special olympics. We can really use the support of all our Stock 4 Hillbillies (and hillbilly families) that night even if only in a very small way. Lets see some new names on this list!

Do we need more coolers at all to put things in because my neighbour has one that we could use but the only problem is that Cremascos would have to take it because it is too big to fit in our car so get back b4 friday so that we can get it clean and take it over to Cremascos for Saturday!!If you need anything else just ask and we wil see if we have any at our house or if any of our neighbours have one that they could lend because they alway are there to help. :) Nicole :)

As a person who may have spent a night or 2 enjoying quantities of brown pops. Let me introduce you to the worlds best most used cooler for bush parties, may not remember much about the bush parties but cleanup a snap! All you need is a laundry hamper and a garbage bag, fill with ice use till done party empty ice and water, fill with garbage. As for the hamper a good hose job, dry, return home no harm no questions oops foul!

I was over at Tessas last night and i was talking to jayne and we came up with this that i make ice for it and I put my mind to thinking and i figured out that i could make 80(small) ice cubes a day which bye hillbilly night i would made 720 ice cubes but that is if i remeber

backflipping hillbilly
08-09-2008, 10:49 PM
that is a lot of cubes Nicole, don't forget!
The water mentioned above is to use with the butter, if you recall, we fill the butter pail about 2/3 full of water and the butter floats on top, allowing cobs to be dipped. Yes we will use tap water to cook the corn, just need a big jug for the butter. I do not have a sealable jug of any sort believe it or not or would bring some water from home. If anyone has one please bring water :)
Well guys loosing tonight for ticket sales really bites. We will have only half a night next week. I had lots of people lined up tonight to sell tickets too grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh well, we can only do what mom nature allows. Also John I was trying to figure out why you wanted plastic knives...were you thinking of butter? I do not think we need them.

Note to my little "Twin" thanks for the fun yesterday, it was nice to get away from here as well. Your shop looks just great, good luck with your opening monday and you are right the buns are YUMMY :D
