I figured I would start off on a light note, and hopefully stay that way!
It would be interesting to read how everyone came up with their car numbers. I know how Clark, John Ince and Adam came up with theirs. I'll let Clark and Adam tell their stories but because John isn't usually around these parts I'll tell how he came up with 53 to start this thread off.
He first raced in 2000 at the age of 53.
Who's next?

How my car number came about?

About Christmas in December of 2005 i was still baffled on a number for the car , and my grandfather was quick to respond with 3 letters " FCN " and asked me what number value they had on a telephone so i looked at the telephone an there it was F being FORD , C being Chevrolet and N being Nissan relating to the stuff we had used on the car so it became " 326 "

Its basicaly got a chevette roof ( sunroof cover ) and Nissan hole filler ( every hole in the firewall and trunk)

I remember when someone told me a story that the first year you raced, Lewis was 11 and I was 8, which added up to 19. Valid? No?

Oh, Oh! I hope this doesn't start a Hillbilly family feud!
How did you become the 9? 19 minus 1 bad dad = 9?

That was also true grasshopper but the house number was the first inspiration.

Sounds fair.

I always liked number 9. It was like the last year of true childhood before you reach the double digits. And then when it was time to pick racecar numbers it just seemed to make sense.
