I was asked by several people about the possibility of changing the tire rule back to a 200 tread wear rating.Mettetech says they can supply Falken Azenis for a reasonable price, approximately 90 bucks each,if bought singly but a better deal if the track goes with them.Think about it and let me know.

Your opinion is valued Tommy as I am sure you speak for your whole family.I value everyones opinion.Since we fought for the 300 rule we should probably keep it that way as people who want to run used tires can still do so and be competitive.

id rather b running on used tires that we can get from junk yard or any mechanic shop for peanuts instead of spending money on a track tire

Hey Tommy,where are my peanuts,lol!
I am good with the rule either way,I dont spend money on new tires, as I just use take-offs.However,if I found some 200 t.w. take-offs,it would be nice to be able to use them.I did actually score a couple of azenis that I plan to use on invite nites as are allowed.
I would suggest leave the rule as is for 2008,we can always change it again for 2009 if needed.Perhaps Mettetech or whomever else could come to the 2009 ruls meeting with some definitive tire prices.

With the overall track condition,I would not want to be paying for new tires until there is some fresh pavement down that wont eat tires in 2 nites.

now you understand what we go through with late model tires on that track and as long as the trains and vans are racing varney that track will never see new pavement
