Hillbilly Corn Roast September 11

Hey all you NEW hillbillies...just realized you might not have any idea what we are talking about. Last year, we hosted a corn roast in the pits after the races on hillbilly night (sept.12/09). We had a lot of drivers, fans etc. come and join us for some corn that we roasted in a bit pot. We also had a donation pot on the table for those who wanted to donate, all the money went to the special olympics. We can really use the support of all our Stock 4 Hillbillies (and hillbilly families) that night even if only in a very small way. Lets see some new names on this list!

I will make a new cheque. The old one is gettting a little tattered I think.
We also need a rotating drum for the draw tickets. Because we have a lottery license, the law says we must use a rotating drum that must be turned at least 5 times. Who has time to think up these rules?

I have an old brake drum that we could roll across the parking lot, would that work?

Last year I made cd's and they would not play in the hillbilly truck. It would be the perfect spot to have music playing and I think the speakers are still in place? Can we change/update the player in the truck if someone has one kicking around (tessa?) or will an mp3 player plug into it (is there a jack) does anyone with more electonic know how than me have ideas on this?

We got it this late last year.
I will try to check tomorrow if we can get some that late. I will also check on the new store down the road and see what we can get cases of pop for.

I think we have decided to no longer be exclusive with Mountain Dew as no one remembers it being the Hillbilly drink. I think I was nominated by Scott Mast and Tessa to bring some Dr. Pepper.

That would be fantastic!!!!! Bring what ever you want thats for sure, I will put you down for the pop!

John is going to order the corn, and the farmer gives him .50 off per dozen. If anyone would like to help that has not already done so, we could use some $ toward the purchase of the corn.

With the generous donation from the Robb Racing Team to purchase the corn I think we are all set to go! Remember to start making ice for the pop (generously donated by the 91 team!). Hope for good weather as well!!

There will be a photo taken of the PARTICIPATING hillbilly racers, on the track on saturday, between the end of practice and the drivers meeting. Please have your drivers suits on, and bring your cars down onto the track at the end of practice. We will try to have it announced. We will also bring down the hillbilly truck and Terry will take the photos.
