Hillbilly Corn Roast September 12

Hey all you NEW hillbillies...just realized you might not have any idea what we are talking about. Last year, we hosted a corn roast in the pits after the races on hillbilly night (august 16th). We had a lot of drivers, fans etc. come and join us for some corn that we roasted in a bit pot. We also had a donation pot on the table for those who wanted to donate, all the money went to the special olympics. We can really use the support of all our Stock 4 Hillbillies (and hillbilly families) that night even if only in a very small way. Lets see some new names on this list!

I will bring a turkey deep fryer for the corn.We tried it last weekend and it works great.If someone else has one it will cut our time in half.See ya Saturday

Tomorrows job after parade is to inventory what we have from last year. I know we have salt and shakers and I bought Toothpicks , they were much needed last year! Also have picked up some plates already at liquidation world. Will see how many are left as well from last year. See you sat.

We are looking to be in pretty good shape, thank you everyone for your help! :D ALL DRIVERS, saturday at 4 (before time trials) please meet near the pit shack, we are having a pro photo done by TW Robarts, this will be of the hillbilly truck, with ALL of this years Hillbilly Participant Drivers. Should be awesome, wear your drivers suits and bring your helmet. Hope to use this pic for next years cd as well as other promotional stuff. Thanks again!

Thank you EVERYONE who helped out last night. Thanks to everyone who donated time and supplies for the corn roast! John thank you for the corn!! Thanks 55 team for assisting the SO athletes sell tickets. Thank you WOW for donating $500 to the cause and to T.W. Robarts Photos for your donation of $100! With shack and ticket sales and the donations we added approx $1000 additional dollars to our fundraising efforts to date. AMAZING. Thank you Bravehearts for showing up in such great numbers! Hope you had fun!! Most of all THANK YOU SHERRY for pulling my ticket!! Look out MIS here we come!!

Saturday was great.Everything seemed to work well right from time trials to the corn roast.The Robb's outdid themselves with the trophies and best of all Ingrid and I were home shortly after midnight

The turkey roaster things were the best idea yet! Huge improvement, even when they were turned off they heated right back up to cook more corn as needed. Excellent!! We really did not have that much left over either, and the corn was sooooooooooo good!! Thank you John!! Thanks again to EVERYONE who donated and helped out. Ingrid you are a good cooker!!
