Is it just me or has the track HIT ROCK BOTTOM????. In my opinion this last long weekend was the worse for flaging, rough driving, no respect for fellow drivers.
Our car is at the frame shop, THE CAR THAT HIT US NO ROLLED UP, NO BLACK FLAG, NO TO THE BACK, NOTHING BUT JOB WELL DONE CARRY ON WITH THE SHOW. The same driver goes out next heat and turns the 07 Steve Smith subbing for Shirley, this time Steve took the LAW into his hands and royally gave a good old see ya spin to the idiot and drove on.
What is it going to take to change things??????

While I dont have the answer to the tracks issues, after this weekend(assuming Tessa wins the feature since she should be starting towards the front) I really dont care if we make it back to the track this season with the exception of hillbilly night.
Lowlights of this season:

Wrecked by the 86 when passing for the feature lead on june 27.
Broken axle July 11 while running 3rd
Wrecked by the 51 due too a TERRIBLE call by the track to race in the rain july 25(missed the feature)
Wrecked by the 75/12 while leading the feature Aug 1 after also getting completely and purposely blocked in by 28 for the first half of the race.
Wrecked by the 86 after another TERRIBLE call by the track Aug 2. effectively ruined our qualifying for the night.

Here are a few lowlights from Sunday August 2 that I noticed:

#9 mini gets penalized as an involved car when the accident was BEHIND him, on the next restart gets wrecked by the 86.Completely avoidable and a direct result from a crap call by the track.
Next heat, the #7 mini gets spun by the #99, DOES NOT GET PENALIZED AS AN INVOLVED CAR AND GETS HIS SPOT BACK. Another completely crap and biased call by the blind mice in the tower.
#29 sss gets dumped by the #9 sss, no penalty issued at all to the #9.
The lead car in the mini feature slows the pace down to LESS THAN HALF THE PACETRUCK SPEED, but no warning or restart, etc.Almost wrecked the field before the race even started, total bullshit move by the #35.
Same thing in the mod feature except this time it is the #12 mod, should have been penalized.
#12 mod flies thru the pits at about 50 miles an hour after a flat tire, hmmm did not see the black flag I guess because it was a green car.
Saturday the #2 late model blatantley takes out the #96, which results in major damage to a bunch of other cars, strangely no penalty to the #2.

Steve,if you read this, please understand that there are a lot of fed up drivers. You folks need to take some dramatic action if you want to have any cars next season.

i just want to say dennis that i no the the wreck between the 75 12 and 9 make you mad but i hope you dont pin that on us, we were racing fine with tessa until the 75 showed up, we no just as well as you that tessa would have won that race but it was not because of us she didnt it was the 75. after that race the 75 came to our pits and told us he went 3 wide down the back straight with tessa and us because he thought jacob was a lapped car and just wanted to pass tessa so he pushed us to the dirt. if the 75 would have sat there instead of trying 3 wide when it was clear it wasnt possible none of us would have wrecked and tessa would have won. besides that i do see why you are upset at the track and the way thing have been going n i understand that because i think we would all be feeling the same.

The flagman has selective vision and also has his favourites. Nothing will improve until he is replaced. I literally feel sick to my stomach just looking at him. Imagine the frustration of the race director and promotions director that desperately want him gone but are not allowed to replace him as he is a friend of the owner. I would love to see everyone put their cars back on the trailers after practice and refuse to race until the flagman is replaced. Unfortunately that would never happen as some drivers would see it as an opportunity to win a feature that otherwise they never would. Actually a better plan would be to stay at pace lap speed after the green flag is waved. The poor flagging is because the flagman does not want to be there and tries to rush the night. Why not p*ss him off and not race but stay on the track to make a point? What’s he going to do, black flag the entire field? I just don't understand why he is there as he tries to get out of there so desperately that he is ruining the racing. I saw this the other day and was going to post it but thought otherwise. Now here it is. Go to http://twrobartsphotos.ifp3.com/ and then select Gallery, July 11, Hillbilly Racing Stock 4, Page 3, and Image 99081. You should notice the blatantly obvious error that is the root of so many problems - I don't mean the 9 car. Look in the moron's hands - I don't mean Tessa. :p "Duh, which way did he go"?
I am very concerned that the people (Steve and Doug) that really try to make it a better place will not return next year. Trying to do your job with one hand tied behind your back and not being allowed to stand behind what you say has got to take all the enjoyment and satisfaction out of being there. These two guys are the best and if they were allowed to do their jobs without interference then the ongoing problems would definitely be minimized, if not eliminated. So much for the "hands-off" approach in 2009.
Not only are their efforts undermined but a blind eye from above is turned on the same people and their antics year after year and the same people that repeatedly deserve a black flag never get one.
From what I hear an attempt was made to improve the situation a few weeks ago. The solution should have been permanent and not every second week. Maybe the drivers and fans should only show up every second week? I thoroughly enjoyed my hiatus but that was because I walked away from the stress and BS the lack of cooperation from the flagman caused me. With the tens of thousands of dollars spent by the drivers he should have been forced to cooperate or be fired.
Now look what you guys did. You got me all wound up again. :D
Maybe we should change the subject to tech?

A lot of valid points have been made here.Randy we watched Silverthorn at Flamboro for several years and he either ran very good or seemed to look for a crash. They are happy he left.Thought so far he has been good but he proved me wrong.Tessa should have won the feature Saturday.Jacob did nothing wrong in the race.I had a front row seat and it was 75 that caused all the problems. He pulled a Lundy and tried to make a hole where there was not 1.He came in and bounced Tessa out of the way and then hit Jacob. After that we are down to officiating or lack of.We all know that several drivers should be black flagged and parked for a week.We all are also in agreement that the starter is very biased.I will never forget the night he stopped a practice, went down to the track and put Jason's gas cap on.When we brought the 15 back up this year I purposely bought the biggest cam I could without doing headwork and left a very lumpy idle in the hope that tech would check it and then we could check them all.I think everybody but tech has noticed.Unfortunate for all the people playing by the rules.Problem is it is no better anywhere else.Ingrid watched an interview with Ray Everingham about the track he bought and he has the same problem.Nascar seems no better.Seems favorites and officiating are a problem everywhere. At least all of us but 2 people know where the problem lies at Varney.Instead of the national anthem next week we could sing goodbye Joe

Maybe the added bonus on the 2010 Hillbilly Racing video could be shots of bad or missed calls. The music could be this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpZm1TstpjQ&feature=related

The only problem is that the "Joe" portion would be longer than the Hillbilly Racing portion! :D

Well said, and voiced all of you. Tessa put in a formal complaint saturday night, both about the officiating and against the 86, enough of that crap from him and his excuse of "I am just learning", so what is supposed to happen? Is someone supposed to address the issues? If so to who?
Honestly I told Tessa that if she EVER drove like that, her car would be parked, it would not be the track doing it , it would be her father and me.
Too bad the officials and parents of offending drivers are too blind to see what is right in front of their eyes. An excellent example of seeing what you want to see is posted on facebook, by a parent of another offending driver. I think I will print the post off and bring it to the track saturday to share, sure blew me away....... in a really bad way.
