How about offering some moral support to a couple of Special Olympic athletes this coming Saturday, January 24th?
Lewis Cremasco and Kelsey Rose Mcdonald, better known as "Pizza", will be participating in a figure skating competition in Mount Forest this coming Saturday. They will be skating at the new Mount Forest arena and are scheduled to skate at 2:00 PM. Anyone planning on attending should arrive early in case things are running ahead of schedule.
For some strange reason Lewis always cheers for Dennis and Tessa at Varney. Even though these two are his favourites he watches everyone, roots for everyone and gets very concerned when someone has a bad night. Now it is our turn to root him on and show Lewis we care about him too.
Pizza has just discovered Varney this past year with the opening of the Hillbilly Shack. She worked her three nights and came other nights to cheer on the Stock 4's. She is excited about this coming year and about meeting more of the drivers.
It would mean the world to these two to have a cheering section. Hopefully some of you will be able to make it.
Jane can advise what the cost of admission is.

These guys have been practising hard and would love some support! I have not heard back from the Weskate Organizers yet but usually adult admission is somewhere in the neighbourhood of $3-$5 dollars to get in. All of the special olympic events take only 1/2 hour, and are scheduled to begin at 2. These competitions sometimes run ahead of schedule so its a very good idea to be there early. Unfortunatley they can also be behind schedule in which case our guys would be skating later. There will be lots of skating to watch in any event and the local organizers will appreciate support as well. Hope to see you there!!

The skating was awesome! I have never liked figure skating but when you watch someone you know do it that changes the whole perspective. The concentration required to do what they did was evident. They both did a fantastic job!!!

Now for the controversy. I think it is funny how only the good news has been reported and not the biggest scandal to hit Mount Forest since they wrote on the "Welcome to Mount Forest" sign that everyone in town is high.
This picture has had some Photo Shop editing done to it. First, where did my hand go that was holding two fingers above Kelsey Rose's head?
The other editing is around the controversy. Notice that Lewis has a red belt tied to his waist and Kelsey Rose's leggings are wrapped over her skates. This was done to hide the modifications to their skates. Tessa had run hoses from the bums of Lewis and Kelsey Rose to their skates. Then they were fed copious amounts of chili (which was pretty good) before they skated. As the beans in the chili worked their magic, methane gas was transferred to the skate blades increasing the compression in the skates. This was spotted by post performance tech. Lewis protested his innocence and demanded that his skates be torn down to prove they were stock. He said the hoses were to keep the "fog" from the chili low to the ground to work like dry ice. After a very long wait to see how the medals were to be awarded the judges and tech eventually decided that the modification was to the costumes and not the skates. As the costumes are completely homemade there are no "stock" specifications to follow.
I hope the next time we read about the Cremasco’s it is not because one of them ended up in jail for fraud. Mind you it is the latest trend.

Ok, these are pretty serious charges and worthy of some pretty serious investigation. After lengthy discussion with both of the skaters involved, we have come to the conclusion that unless cheese whiz or pizza directly contribute to methane output, charges against both skaters will be dropped!

Glad you enjoyed and thanks again for the support!
NO PHOTO SHOP USED, Pizza has a death grip on your "bunny ear" hand down behind her back!

ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh the gauntlet has been thrown down.

As for the photo editing controversy, did you not wonder why Jayne conveniently had her camera "stolen"? I am quite certain that a different memory slice was sustituted when the camera was in the hands of the "lost and found" people. Paging Jethro Bodine "Secret Agent Double Naught Zero".

This photo is definitely "Photo Shopped". If Kelsey Rose is using one hand to have a firm grip on my hand to prevent me from holding two fingers above her head and her other hand is on Lewis' shoulder, then is she hiking her skirt with her third hand?
We know Pizza contributed to the methane output from the chili she ate. I didn't know Lewis' nick name was Cheez Whiz but Cheez Whiz also ate the chili as a performance enhancing substance.
The charges may have been dropped but the accusations stand! It's funny how the coach who masterminded this scheme is noticeably silent.
Hmm, unified dance? I can't even get my own two feet to do anythng unified on skates. I was never a good skater and have not been on skates since 1978.
Pizza and Cheez Whiz skate so well that I don't need to skate. :)
I still can't get that song out of my head!

well Christine and I most certainly enjoyed the show :D , i havn't been on the ice since high school .... that was 7 years ago

an the only figure skating trick i know is the flat out 360 >_< ( on your back side spinning ) i used to be able to skate backwards but that wasn't by choice , skating fast usually resulted in testing out the structural integrity of the boards .

so Good job to both Lewis an Kelsey-Rose , i apologize for not sticking around afterwards as I had a long drive to London ahead of me.

Feb 7/09 i have a paint ball tournament in Wasaga Beach :D

We knew you had to carry on with your busy day, was too bad you could not stick around for some lunch and jawing with the other hillbillies. It was super great for your two to find time to come and was very appreciated.
